DIRECTIONS

This calculator is intended to help you with pacing for your workouts on the track as well as tempo runs on the roads.

If, for example, you want to run 400 meter and 600 meter intervals at your target 10K race pace of 43:30, simply:

  • select 10 Kilometers as the Target Distance.
  • enter 43 in the Minutes field and 30 in the Seconds field.
  • press the Calculate Interval Pace button.
  • the appropriate target interval paces will appear for each track interval.
In this example, you would try to run your 400 (and 600 meter) intervals as close to 1:44 seconds (and 2:36 seconds) as possible.
